Coding assessments

Coding questions give candidates an editor, a choice of languages, and public test cases they can run. Hidden test cases decide the marks: partial marks for each passing test. SQL and debugging questions use the same engine.

When no execution service is connected

Code is saved, never guessed. The answers appear in the Scoring queue under 'Coding answers waiting for a person', where someone with scoring permission marks them with a reason; the result is then issued.
